RapidKL Transit

Today, I with my friend went to the city centre. We decided to try out the RapidKL bus transit. Well, to be frank, it’s been a while since I last took a bus. I lost hope on bus system because of its punctuality problem. I would rather walk considering the amount of time I waste on waiting. Well back to our trip, we took a bus at KL Sentral. I was surprised when some other Putra LRT staff doesn’t know the bus number to take to National Library even though they are wearing the RapidKL logo on their T-shirt. “That’s interesting”, I told myself. Soon, we went to bus operator and they provided us with detailed information and brochure of the service. However, it took us some time to digest on how the system really works. Luckily, I am from KL and I understood the destination we’ll be heading. I decided to buy the “SEMUA” ticket which cost RM 4. Everything went smoothly. The frequency of bus is very frequent. Even though we a bit slowed from the estimated time of travel claimed but it’s not their fault. There were too many cars in KL and it caused massive jam.

I was impressed with 3 Korean ladies at the KLCC stop that took the same bus with us. They seem to understand how the system works and know where to change bus. Come to think again, they don’t speak our language yet they understood how the system function and look comfortable with it. Shame on some of us who keep on grumbling the service of being too difficult and troublesome to understand. After changing three buses, I finally arrived to my last station. But, I was a bit let down when the last bus I was supposed to be taking is still not available even though it’s been printed out on their brochure. Another situation which makes me saddened during my trip was when one passenger misused the service by selling the “SEMUA” ticket back to me when I was waiting. But I didn’t fall in with such an act. We should appreciate the service and not take advantage of it because if RapidKL bankrupt, we’ll suffer too eventually. To sum it, taking Rapid KL save my total cost if I took LRT and then KTM by more than RM 3.With proper time management I think we can adapt well to this system as I believe that we should control our time and not let them control us.
