This Christmas eve, I went to this Kuala Selangor to catch a glimpse at the fireflies. Reached there very early and I must tell you that there is really nothing there at the town. The only place of interest is Bukit Melawati to have a look at the lighthouse and Kuala Selangor Nature Park. Didn't enter the park after overheard a complaint from the tourist on the safety of the bird-watching tower. even the staff there warned us that the first 300 meters will be a lot of mosquitoes. I told myself, 'Why pay money to donate blood?'. Managed to get the earliest boat trip at 7.45Pm. Oh yeah, we went to this Kuala Belimbing instead of the Kampung Kuantan. The difference is just ours is motor boat instead of sampan. And you only need to pay RM 10 per head instead of RM40 per boat (the sampan is limited to 4 people and if you can't get 4 people to share you need to bear the whole cost).
