Went to my lecturers'(yup they are both my lecturers) wedding the day after streanous outing from Gua Tempurung. Plan not to go but well after some pushing from my friend Roha, I decided to have a look. All my lecturers will be there so I thought why not give a go. Build some network. That's very important. Normal Chinese wedding required ang pow of RM 80 per head but guess what? For Malay custom the standard can varies. You can even give RM 10...... per family (wow!). Cause their main objective is to let amap (as much as possible) people know they are married. As we are students, so it's not nice to give money to seniors. Then we decided to go for gifts. Imagine this. Three tupperwares of big, medium and small size stacked up to form a hill and top sit up with a bottle (I guess). All are empty. And the total cost is RM 9.90. What worst is the fact that it's being shared by 8 people!! RM 1.25 per person. And the amount we eat is much more than that. Paiseh2. Some more they all get gift when they all go back but not for me. Why? They gave me this religious item. Well, I look dark but I still look Chinese right? An insult or compliment? Can I enjoy special bumiputera price to buy house then? Another weird thing is that all the guest can practise this motto. I come, I eat, I cabut... without the need to see the bride and bridegroom. And it's a norm. Sighed. At least I stayed.
It's not good to talk while eating. Look at the plate of my two friends. They come, They EAT, They cabut..

Look at the invitation card I hold. It looks like a graduate scroll

Left hand side is Roha and right hand side is Yunie. The guy beside me I don't know who.
