Worst Excuse

Working in the airport, I have to communicate with the airport tower staff on our whereabout and to evacuate if there's flight coming in or out during our work. So, it must be a very professional things considering passenger's safety. This one is the tower scolding people who are doing the right procedure.

First occasion

Au Yong: Tower.. This is Scott Wilson...

Tower: Scott Wilson... Tower

Au Yong: Is the last flight taken off?

Tower: Scott Wilson, the air craft has already taken off. There is no more flights. You are allowed to resume your work.

Au Yong: Roger. (Why you don't informed me? I've been waiting for your instruction for 30 minutes and if I didn't call you then I'll wait until Christmas)

After 15 minutes warming up our machine we reached the holding point of the entrance. I decided to contact tower and inform him our intention to work at certain location....

Au Yong: Tower, this is Scott Wilson. We are now at fire sub station 03. We have 2 vehicles. Request permission to enter runway passing echo 5.

Tower: Approved. Scott Wilson no need to call tower.... The runway is closed already. There is no more flights. Tower also need to sleep!!!

Au Yong: Roger....... (What the @$#%%!! Tower also need to sleep? They pay you to watch the tower and you scold people so that you can sleep!!)

Second occasion

This conversation was held when the tower is looking for another contractor that had left the airport when the tower is sleeping.

Tower: Scott Wilson... Tower...

Au Yong: Tower.. This is Scott Wilson....

Tower: Scott Wilson, do you know where AGS (the other contractor) is?

Au Yong: Tower.. If I'm not mistaken they have already left the runway. They've requested permission but they didn't get any reply from the tower.

Tower: .....(paused)
Tower: Scott Wilson how long they had left....

Au Yong: Em.... Should be around 20 minutes (well, AGS asked permission while I'm in the middle of easing myself in the toilet)

Tower: Thank Scott Wilson. Erm.. Maybe when they contacted me my walkie-talkie radio is low battery.

Au Yong: OK, tower. Roger that... (What the *X$@# !!! Low battery!!!! How can this happen??? What if it's a airplane contacts you??? Just admit that you are sleeping!!!)
