So my stay here in UK is filled with another journey. Never came across my mind that my presence here in UK will bring me to yet another country.
This time is the wonderful nature of Scotland. Since it's Bank Holiday again, we embarked on a 5 person on the road journey to our very first destination. The Tantallon Castle.
Here in Scotland, there are hundreds of castle. Don't know exactly which one is nice. Why are there so many rich people those day and they keep on building castle? Can't they be more creative like building some steel structure or wood structure. Why must they keep on using brick?
However, this castle is a bit different. Well the construction material is still the same but it's located facing the sea. Ahah! That's something different. The scenery is totally out of this world. However, a nice place always come with a hefty price.
Of course the price I meant here included the entrance but the one I'm focusing is the strong gust of wind we are facing throughout our short stay there. I would probably bet that if I open a stall selling steamboat I'm sure will get rich. It's just too windy and cold. Even the gulls are having difficulty to fly there. I bet Superman also can take off here.
The castle is partially ruined but maintenance works in on progress. This has caused us some out of focus photo due to the eye soaring scaffolding in our picture.
The castle is not that big. I would say a combination of 10 houses in term of area and about 6 st0reys high. I was thinking why they are being attacked previously. It's such a small castle. Small loots. Less pretty chicks. And certainly no sense of satisfaction of aiming at a small target.
It's like that. The structure will only become a national heritage if it's nearly worn out or torn down. The more it worn out the more visitors come to visit. Scotland is quite smart. They preserved old building to earn money from visitors. In Malaysia, we need to keep on building new building and demolish old building to keep visitors coming in. Probably not the best castle in Scotland but trust me. It's worth every little penny. I also want to practise Boon Chuan's rating.
Adventurous : 8/10 (I dare you to stay overnight here. It will probably worse than Fear Factor)
Price: 8/10 (Come on. 4.70 pound. What you expect?)
Verdict: 1 thumbs up!
