Kibble Palace - Huh, Palace In Scotland?

Still within Glasgow city, we drove our way to our next attraction. The Kibble Palace. No more castle please. This time is palace. The Kibble Palace glasshouse, situated within the Botanic Gardens, is one of the most prestigious iron and glass structures. Yup. Glass again. Glasgow ma. What do you expect?

The Palace is used for the cultivation of temperate plants. Outside is damn windy and cold but inside is as if you entered a solarium. There are many plants ranging from orchids to cactus.

Even though it's a botanical garden, don't be surprised by the people here stripping down to their bikini and lying on the grass. Can't blame them. They see limited sunlight throughout their life. If you bring umbrella because it's too hot people here will gaze at you. In Malaysia you don't even want to walk under the sun for more than 10 seconds. In UK, heater is your best friend. In Malaysia, air conditioner is your best friend.

But thanks to the invention of heater, we can see plants like banana tree and orchid in this palace. Actually I've planned to come to this palace during night time. There's one picture showing the palace being lighten up at night. really nice. But when you can still drive without turning on the car headlight at 9pm, who would want to wait for this moment?
