Lord Of The Caves

On the 1st February 2006, Boon Chuan and Adris came to visit my home for Chinese New Year celebration. Well, I woke up late (cause yesterday I reached home from Dong Zhen Monastery at 2PM le) and they reached early. After they visited my house I decided to bring them around my area. The latest sensation in town was the Lord Murugan statue in Batu Caves located very near to my house. Claimed to be the tallest Lord Murugan statue in the world, I can seriously tell you that it looks majestic. From the highway you can already see the statue situating just beside 272 stairs. Standing at 42.7 meters I think it shares the same size like the King Kong in the movie.

Once again it was FOC visiting there. Climbing the 272 stairs was the arduous task as described by my parents. I reached the top in 10 minutes (can be faster if I didn’t stop to take pictures). Frankly speaking, this was the first time I visited the inside part of the cave though I climbed up the stairs with my dad 10 years ago. It was a big cave. Words can’t express the beauty of it. May be you have to download the movie and witness it yourself or hop to here yourself. The large amount of tourists that day speaks the evidence of how attracting the latest sensation in town could be. Lord Murugan certainly has become the Lord of the Caves here.
