Working in the airport doesn't mean there's no where to go. The new terminal 2, Sky Plaza in Hong Kong is worth a drop by. Since we are working for the airport authority we were given a pass that entitled us some discounts for food and entertainment you can find inside the airport. Aviation Discovery Center is one of them.

Don't get me wrong when I say the word "discount". Sometimes, knowledge is free. The exhibition here is totally
FOC.

You can witness all sort of things regarding the flying machine. They even take out one of their plane's propeller just for you to see and explain how jet engine works. Since this is
Hong Kong, of course they will bring you to
their memory lane showcasing of their old airport, Kai
Tak Airport (or
Subang Airport in comparison with ours).

Those day, only
experienced pilot are brave enough to
maneuver a daring landing or take off from this
obsolete airport design. The
Hongkies knew that they can't afford to have foreigners witness any eye polluting
underwear hanging around the balcony.

It also shows the seats of the plane way back our
grandmother age. And you will argue with
AirAsia... "Oh my goodness, those day the seats are more spacious than yours!".

The only thing we have to dig out our pocket was the 4D movie. 12 minutes length. Even we have 40% discount, the price is still way up high if compare to our own
IMAX. Anyhow, when the seats on your right and left is vacant and the whole cinema belongs to only you, some more all the bubble, sand, wind, and ice effect touches only your skin, I think it is worth every little penny you spent.
Kanye West and
Jamiroquai.

They even have this eerie graveyard for planes.
