Hong Kong is famous for its energy waste. Why? Because they spend so much to lighten their buildings. That's why some people called Hong Kong, The City of Light. The terminal 2 in Hong Kong International Airport is one of the typical example. It was built specifically for low budget airline check-in. My colleague told me it resembles the Water Cube, the so-called famous swimming pool in China. Well, you won't find girls with swimming suits inside. But instead, a heaven for food (the only place in Lantau Island which serves *certified halal food, others just claimed) and last minute shopping escape. Surprisingly, in Malaysia Airport everything is expensive even the Mcdonalds. But here, the price for the food inside the airport is of no difference with area outside the airport. Of course you can't compare with their souvenir at Temple Street aka Petaling Street. This terminal at night was shone with color lighting that changes every 2-3 seconds to have the magnificent moving effect. But don't expect it to last until 4am in the morning. I guess they turn it off after say 1am. After all, they might afford to pay the electricity but they can't keep on changing the bulbs everyday.
Got some inspiration from Nathan on this time lapse thing, so I did it at more prehistoric method.
But since I won't be able to leave my camera on for 2 hours unattended, I guess capturing the scene in movie mode will just do the trick.
*Certified - ada cop and sijil (but nowadays, printing is so advanced even a grandma and little kid can reproduce Mona Lisa in their toilet with just one mouse click) . Not just a few scribble of Bahasa Arab on the the front door.
