The Cost Of Benevolence Nowadays?

This Christmas I went to Carrefour. I bought one pack of 10kg rice. Two packs of Milo. One bundle of vermicelli. Two tins of biscuits. Two bottle of cooking oil. Two packs of oat meal. The screen of the cashier machine showed a whopping RM 178.75. Not that my house is going to have a Christmas party. All of these items went to an old folk home at Ampang. Just another charitable gesture to the neglected ones. This is my first time that I am digging it from my own pocket after all this while I was just accompanying my parents to carry items. We might celebrate the festive season with our loved one but we should always remember that there are people who celebrate it alone after being abandoned by their family or maybe other untold story. Confucius put filial piety as the most important moral value in his teaching. That has been cultivated firmly into the Chinese community ever since. And hopefully, it should always be…
I found this site from Kenny Sia's blog. This will be my next charity drive.

You are really a role model for young people nowadays. How I wish more people are as generous as you. Good for you.

I'm not a role model. I am just an ordinary Chinese guy (quote from Ip Man). LOL
