The Present

I went back to Malaysia for 3 weeks. During that period, I managed to call some of my friends. One of them is Boon Chuan. He’s doing fine. Now working in Firefly. Not as steward but the webmaster I assumed that’s the name. He commented that my blog writing has improved. I was flattered. However, during my blogging days, I do make mistake by writing thing which violated people’s discretion. I made mistake. For that I apologize to whom I might or had offended by my thought and view. But I always treat mistake as a learning curve to be a better person.

I remember an sms,

“A calm sea does not make a skilled sailor”.

From baby till now, you dare to say you didn’t make any mistake? People made mistake . To dwell on mistake is not the way thing goes. You must deal with the mess you’ve created. The toughest part is to face the mistake. It takes courage to admit your fault. One Chinese saying goes,

“ Admit if you made mistake , stand still if you are punished”.

One must proceed and live on. Han Ching comes up with her thought on how small your problem derived from your mistake sometimes could be. I think it can be reflected in this Istvan Banyai’s “Zoom” theory. Well, I did some editing on it.

See how your problem is so small in this world.

People always say time will dilute all the anger. I don’t see any significance at first. But having been into no talking term with my pal for one and half years, I find the courage to pick up the phone and called him come out to have a chat at mamak stall like we use to do before. We didn’t talk anymore about what had happened in the past. Let the bygone be bygone.

When I was young, I was a bit mischievous. In one incident , I jeered on my friend’s name until he exploded into anger. I never thought my joke at that time has crossed the line. From then onwards, I learnt one thing that I must be careful with my jokes. My colleagues claimed my sentences are always on the fences. Meaning I am always on the neutral line. Let’s just say I made a mistake before.

When I was in my teenage days, I was involved in clubs and societies in school. I will always remember when one of my actions created furore in the committee. One of them even confronted me face to face. My deputy even resigned only for me to pull back the string. In my university, some juniors said I do thing efficiently and is a good inspirational leader. Well, let’s just say I learned from my previous mistake before.

There’s a quote from Spencer Johnson, the co-author from “Who Moved My Cheese” , from his other books, “The Present”:

Learn from the Past.

Live in the Present.

And Prepare for the Future

everyone is free to express her/his thoughts. others can take it, laugh at it, swear at it or leave it there. like it or not that is someone opinion.

i would say, express your opinion on your own blog is NOT consider a mistake.
