The Victoria Peak

Hong Kong is so-called the city of light. Capturing the best view of building lit with neon light is non-other than from Victoria Peak. Mentioned the name Victoria Peak is like talking about Bukit Bendera. Ok, what is Bukit Bendera famous for? Their tram of course. Same case here. Getting to Victoria Peak, one is best to choose the tram service that will incline near to 70 degree

This will definitely ruin those playing game with IPhone since they build in the accelerometer inside. One of the attractions at The Peak is Madame Tussauds. Since, I had visited the famous one in London, I was content to just taking photo with two free wax figures there. Cecilia Cheung and Bruce Lee.

I guess since most of the internet users have seen every inch of Cecilia, therefore the management there was thinking no point of keeping it inside and put it outside. How about Bruce Lee then? Eh, from what I see, the figure doesn’t look like Bruce Lee in every angles …well except the crotch (alright, don’t stare at the bulge please).

I agreed with others that the best view of Hong Kong is here. However, I advise it is better to just take the tram and not the package that includes the Sky Terrace. There is actually other good location to snap the picturesque view FOC. Another is to go on the evening around 5PM and stay till night so that you can get both day and night scenery.

The problem with night view is you won’t be able to take nice photo of you with the background. Flash from the camera will spoil everything. Trust me. Rest the worries. There are some so-called professional photographers that are ready to take photo for you with the SLR for a couple of bucks. They are ready with printers and laptops equipped with pirated Photoshop. Now, that is what I call professionals.

Location: The Peak, Hong Kong
How to get there: Central MTR Station exit J2 & take tram ($33HKD - return) @ Peak Tram Terminus
Admission fees: Free or optional
Peak tram+Sky Terrace ($48HKD-return).

From Central MTR (Tsuen Wan Line), just ask the customer service the Peak Tram exit. Once you get to the exit there will be signboard leading you from there onwards.
